Hello Gorgeous Wellness — September 2025 Newsletter
National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month
From Natalie

This September, we’re turning our collective power toward compassion, connection, and help-seeking. Suicide prevention is everyone’s work—and small actions save lives. Let’s learn the signs, check in on our people, and make sure every Queen (and every family) knows where to turn for support.
Key Dates (Mark Your Calendar)
Sept 8 — “988 Day of Action”: Boost awareness of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Share, post, and talk about it.
Sept 10 — World Suicide Prevention Day: Join the global movement to “Change the Narrative on Suicide.” Host a moment of silence at 1:00 PM ET, light a candle, or check in with three loved ones.
If You Need Help (or you’re worried about someone)
Call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (free, confidential, 24/7). Chat is also available online. Spanish services and accessibility options are offered.
Veterans & Service Members: Dial 988, then press 1, or text 838255, or chat online via Veterans Crisis Line.
Prefer to text? Message HOME to 741741 to reach Crisis Text Line (24/7).
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
Learn the Warning Signs
Changes in mood/behavior, increased substance use, withdrawal, giving away belongings, talking about feeling hopeless or being a burden, and searching for means can all be warning signs. The National Institute of Mental Health has a concise list you can review and share.
